If so, then it also indicates you don't have sufficient memory for the way you are using the Mac.you may be able to change your useage to prevent this, but if not, then you have insufficient memory especially if it is causing performance issues. If the memory pressure is green (or even yellow), then check the "Swap Used" and "Compressed" to see if it is showing a lot of GBs being used by these two items. If the pressure is yellow, then you are on the borderline. If it is red, then you don't have sufficient memory for your workload. Within the "Memory" tab of Activity Monitor, check the "Memory Pressure" graph. You must use the following guide to determine if your Mac has insufficient memory for your particular workload: macOS always fills memory to the brim since unused memory is considered wasted memory. Memory is used differently on the more recent versions of macOS.
